What will the future of the Covenant of Mayors be like?

Energy Cities has just published its vision and position on the future developments of the Covenant of Mayors.
Our association is particularly proud to contribute actively to the success of this European initiative, gathering thousands of local authorities across Europe and beyond and which is at the heart of our strategy.
Through their voluntary commitments on the EU energy and climate objectives, Covenant Signatories help both the EU and Member States reach their targets. By doing so, they principally seek to improve the quality of life of their citizens, boost the local economy and combat energy vulnerability.
Energy Cities strongly believes that the Covenant of Mayors constitutes an example of success for other EU policies. For its replication to be effective, the initiative must benefit from greater support.
