The network's first 20 years

2010: it is the year of biodiversity (according to UNESCO), it is the year of the tiger (according to the Chinese) and it is the year of Energie-Cités’ 20th Anniversary!
We can look back on our first 20 years of networking, experience and visions. And we are looking forward to the next decades in which we will implement even stronger sustainable energy policies for and with you, our members.
To celebrate this symbolic anniversary with the ones that made our success possible, we would like to invite you to the Energie-Cités’ Anniversary Rendezvous on 28-30 April in Salerno, Italy.
The Rendezvous called "Inventing tomorrow – City life in transition" will feature thought-provoking forums, debates and site visits on quality of life in our cities, such as:
- 19 breakthroughs for the 21st Century, A representative of Sustainable Development Commission (GB)
- Mobility: What if we were at the end of a certain era?, François Bellanger, Director, Transit City
- Should cities focus their energy on a short, medium or long term vision? Representatives from Helsinki, Barcelona, Heidelberg, Salford
- Spots on 20 energy cities – interactive forums
