Behind commitments such as the Covenant of Mayors, there are many practical actions that pave the way of our cities’ future: some are minor fixes, others are part of an epic city master plan. All of them taken together aim at reaching energy and climate objectives. This also means transforming cities into even greater places to live.
The Rendezvous in April 2011 intends to be a source of inspiration for political decision-makers, technical representatives, companies and academics. Local energy policies and their direct linkages with EU developments will be discussed focusing on the following:
- Creative practices: how local level decisions are setting trends;
- Valuable sources: how to finance great ideas;
- Showing innovative methods that how to make cities efficient.
