The Covenant of Mayors launches its new interactive tool

In the occasion to the Open days, (5-8 Octobre 2009) the European Commission will present a new interactive tool to help cities to present their Sustainable Energy Action Plans ( SEAP) and to facilitate their evaluation.

This initiative was launched by The Covenant of Mayors which with its 700 signatories and its 33 Supporting Structures enjoys an exceptional level of success.
This new tool supported by helpful instructions will enable any cities to turn commitment into action.
The Covenant signatories are asked to complete this online template by providing information regarding their Emission Inventory, their Overall Strategy and the measures included in their Sustainable Energy Action Plans. Freely available since October this tool forming a basis for follow up on Covenant implementation. The key information from the SEAP will be published on the www.eumayors.eu website.
Energie-cites is the leader of the Covenant of Mayors Office since January 2009 and became recently one of the supporting structures of the Covenant.
