The European Cyclist’s Federation (ECF) has launched a campaign for an EU Cycling Strategy.

The aim of this campaign is to include the development of a dedicated EU Cycling Strategyin the 2018 work programme of the European Commission. A wide coalition of stakeholders, from public authorities, citizens, civil society to businesses, have already provided their support to this campaign.

The ECF’s campaign aims to create a level playing field for cycling with other forms of mobility in European cities. According to them, a dedicated EU Cycling Strategy would have the potential to increase cycle use by 50% by 2030, and have a beneficial impact on air quality, public health care, the climate and the environment. Moreover, 80 million daily additional bicycle trips could provide a boost to the liveability of Europe’s towns and cities.

Want to show your support for a dedicated EU Cycling Strategy? Then you can find here all relevant information on how to participate!
