Even though they are set in different cultural, political and economic contexts, those cities have at least two major trumps in common :
- they have foresightedness and
- they take the city as a whole and develop integrated policies addressing several sectors at a time.
Their committment to the Covenant of Mayors is an expression of the seriousness of this approach.
That is also why Nantes, Freiburg and Geneva are featuring in Energy Cities’ IMAGINE exhibition, gathering European cities that are leading the way.
