Sénart gets even more committed to reduce its CO2 emissions!

by Christophe Fréring on 21 décembre 2010 / 149 visites

Since its foundation the Sénart conurbation which gathers 10 local authorities representing some 106 000 inhabitants and 3 600 businesses in the South-East of Paris has integrated sustainable development in its urban policy.

On December 16, 2010 the counselors have decided that Sénart would join the "10:10" GoodPlanet campaign in favour of the greenhouse gas emissions.

This commitment aims at a 10% reduction by end of 2011 of the public-owned buildings greenhouse gases emissions. Several actions have already started such as the House of Environment new wood boiler will naturally support this policy.

Joining this "10:10" charter also shows the willingness of Sénart to be a concrete actor in the field of sustainable development and early 2011 this will be confirmed with the release of the local Climate action plan.
