The Horizon 2020 PUBLENEF project has developed a new toolbox, which seeks to provide local and regional policy makers with a set of adequate tools and resources to match their needs on energy efficiency policy.

The objective of the PUBLENEF project is to assist EU Member States in implementing effective and efficient sustainable energy policies (with the focus on energy efficiency) and empower them to make use of the best practices and policy processes implemented in other Member States at the national, regional and/or local level. As project partner, Energy Cities is responsible for the local dimension of PUBLENEF.

The new PUBLENEF toolbox is a digital platform that enhances the exchange of information and provides a large variety of supporting tools and resources for energy efficiency policy planning, development, implementation and evaluation. Policy makers can post their problems on specific aspects of policy making, and are able to find specific solutions (e.g. tools, best practices) that match their challenges. This collection of useful resources for local energy action can be updated by the policy makers themselves, ensuring a constant flow of new solutions to the platform’s community.
