Energy Cities, through its IMAGINE initiative, looks back at more than five years of foresight-oriented work focussing on the linkages between Energy and Territorial Cohesion.
Within the framework of the OPEN DAYS 2011, Energy Cities organised a workshop under the Imagine initiative, entitled: "Energy and territory: From multilevel governance to local agreements".
Electronic proceedings of the OPEN DAYS having just been published, please find here, a summary of our workshop, and there, the complete publication summarising all sessions and workshops..
We also published recently the synthesis of our 2011 Imagine seminar in Brussels:
"Energy Roadmap 2050 : Towards local and regional Energy Roadmaps" - Brussels, 9 November 2011 French version IMAGINE relies on the contribution of diverse stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in local energy issues and is based on the observation of actual practices and processes at place in an increasing number of local authorities. IMAGINE allows these stakeholders to exchange perspectives and long-term visions and shapes cities of the future focussing on imaginative low-energy solutions. From this dialogue, a concept of low energy cities with a high quality of life for all has emerged, as a challenge for a sustainable energy future.
