IEE call: get on board!

The 2009 IEE call is ongoing and as the deadline is 25th June, it is time to get your proposals ready!

We have received a number of project ideas. Three of them could be of special interest for our members:
- Energy QU.E.S.T. – EnergySaving Qualification for Heating Plant Technicians - Download project abstract
Proposed by: City of Parma
Main purpose: develop a training and educational process for technicians involved in inspection and maintenance operations of boilers and heating plants

- Energy efficiency in existing buildings - Download project abstract
Proposed by: City of Zoetermeer
Main purpose: to take away barriers for private house owners to take energy saving measures and to realize a reduction of energy consumption of 15% (average) with an integrated community approach.

- "Voluntary Agreement (VA)" pilot project - Download the project abstract
Proposed by: Senter Novem
Main purpose: 1. to gain experience with VAs on energy efficiency between (local) public authorities and energy consuming target groups; 2. share this experience with each other; 3. attract new VA parties within the own boundaries of influence

Please note that the IEE programme can fund up to 75% of your project eligible costs.
Remember the special features of this year’s call:
- for the first time, the work programme includes “market replication projects” that will be funded with a total of EUR 15 million. Funding criteria are still under consideration and details will be communicated at a later stage by the Commission,
- the key action “Support to the creation of local and regional energy management agencies” is closed this year.
The closing date for submission is the 25/06/09.
