An independent panel of experts shortlisted 10 local authorities which they considered had performed outstandingly well during the European Mobility Week 2008.
The cities of Almada (Portugal), Budapest (Hungary), Cork (Ireland), Krakow (Poland) and Zagreb (Croatia), all members of Energie-Cités have been selected among the ten best participation and ten selected cities for the European Mobility Week Award.

The Award winner will be officially announced on 23 February 2009 at a ceremony in Brussels, in conjunction with the announcement of the winner of the first ever “European Green Capital Award".
