FREE Display® in Hungary

by Olivier Lagarde on 27 September 2010 / 138 visites

As part of the efforts to ensure Display® remains free of charge for approved local governments in Hungary, Energia Klub and Váti Nonprofit Kft. held a project evaluation meeting last July, and expressing satisfaction with the results achieved in the past year.

The Minister considers the Display Campaign an essential part of the efforts to modernise the local government-owned buildings and a good strategy to introduce the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) into the legislation. The Ministry included the user authorisation of the Display software in its budget for 2011 and aims to increase the number of Hungarian Display users by at least 100% in the next year!

Some future goals were expressed by the partners to use Display® for at least 150 Hungarian public buildings by the end of September 2010. Lobbying for the acceptance of Display® remains a great challenge and great opportunity. There must be an effective strategy to integrate building energy efficiency certifiers and companies, for example, by registering energy professionals, involving decision-makers in the promotion of the campaign, and informing the national media to help with this effort.
