As a national leader in the field of energy, the Polish city of Bielsko-Biala is actively involved in the energy efficiency team of the ’Group for the Exchange of Experience’, created by ’The Association of Polish Cities’. It was in Bielsko-Biala where the team held its first meeting.
The two-day seminar took place last December and was attended by Mayors, Deputy Mayors and municipal representatives in charge of energy management and/or environment protection. They came from cities such as Bielsko-Biala, Częstochowa, Dzierżoniów, Ełk, Katowice, Lublin, Płock, Poznań, Sandomierz, Warsaw and many others. The special guest was Maria Stankiewicz, Director of Polish Network Energie-Cités (PNEC).
Zbigniew Michniowski, Deputy Mayor of Bielsko-Biala and Vice-President of Energie-Cités, was appointed the Group’s leader and main coordinator.
The seminar was also an opportunity to present the IMAGINE exhibition which promotes innovative European examples in the field of sustainable urban planning.
