For the first time in their history, the cities of Dolyna and Artemivsk (Ukraine) organised, with the support of the association Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine, the Energy Days.
These days, that took place from April 26th to 30th 2011, had as a moto : "We haven’t inherited the environment from our parents, we only borrow it from our children."
This event was aimed at catching everyone’s attention on the issues linked to energy consumption, resource depletion and pollution.The actions mainly targeted children and teenagers, with a drawing contest, a concert, activities about energy monitoring, graffiti, sports, debates on energy and climate change issues...
We hope this was the beginning of a long series of Energy Days!
The association Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine has been a collective member of Energy Cities since 2009.
