The dates are set for the 2015 edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week: this year, EUSEW will take place from 15 to 19 June. And there are many opportunities to get your city involved!

As a local authority you can be part of the Sustainable Energy Week by organising an Energy Day, applying to the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards or attending one of the hundreds of events to take place in June.

Every year, over 1,000 local authorities and public or private organisations contribute to EUSEW with their own Energy Day. They can be any kind of activity – for example presentations, workshops, exhibitions, concerts or displays. Energy Days can be organised during the entire month of June 2015. More info

You can also apply for the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards. A special category is dedicated to efforts at the local level: Cities, Communities and Regions (other categories are Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency). If you are proud of your city’s results in reducing its carbon footprint or if your municipality deserves further recognition for its achievements in sustainable energy, you are invited to apply! First evaluation deadline is January 31. Final deadline to apply is 28 February 2015. More info
