City of Brasov to represent Energie-Cités in Baia Mare (RO)

This week, the Romanian city of Brasov, vice-president and member city of Energie-Cités, will be representing our network during an international seminar in Baia Mare, Romania. The conference, hosted by the Committee of the Regions from 28-30 May, is dedicated to “Environment and sustainability strategies for urban regeneration”.

Camelia Rata, Executive Director of the Brasov Energy Agency, will be representing Energie-Cités during a session on regeneration projects for a low-carbon economy. The session will focus on the current state of the art with respect to best practice on promoting low-carbon local communities through sustainable mobility, resource efficient architecture and green procurement. Based on own experiences in successful projects such as the Display Campaign, Mrs. Rata will be presenting recommendations focusing on energy efficient urban design.
The city of Baia Mare is part of the Ad Personam project, in which Energie-Cités is involved with some of its members (Besançon (FR), Funchal (PT), Modena (IT)) to promote public transport.
