Minister Evelyne Huytebroeck, in charge of Environment, Energy and Urban renovation for the Brussels-Capital region, of European commissionner Janez Potocnik, in charge of environment, and of Senator Jutta Blankau, in charge of urban develoment and environment for Hamburg.
To host the exhibition, a 25-meter-high tower was specially designed and installed in the Saints Michel & Gudule Park, in the town center. While climbing the different floors, visitors will discover the projects already put in place by the Region in favor of a better quality of life and the protection of the environment, along with their ambitions for the future : make the Brussels Region a European model in the field of sustainable development. Once they have reached the top, visitors will enjoy an amazing view of the city, standing in the middle of a hanging garden.
The ’Train of ideas’ of the Hamburg City - the European Green Capital 2011- will have a stop in the city during the opening ceremony.
The exhibition will be opened from September 7th to October 30th 2011.
