3X20 Play the game with us in Brussels in April 2009!

Energy and climate objectives of the EU in the year 2020, the "3x20", are the motto of the Covenant of Mayors initiative of the EU Commission, supported by Energy Cities and Climate Alliance.

More than 400 local stakeholders were part of the game and learnt its rules at the Joint AnnualRendez-vous in 2009, co-organized with the Brussels-Capital Region.

They met other committed players in a mixture of speeches, round tables, forums, exhibitions and one-to-one meetings to discuss the following:

  • Which visions do we share? Which key priorities should guide us towards a sustainable energy future?
  • What is the Covenant of Mayors and why is it important for local actors to be involved?
  • Which practical tools and partnerships will help local authorities to carry out sustainable energy actions?
