Become a partner to the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign! Compete for the Campaign award!

As you certainly know, the Sustainable Energy Europe 2005-2008 is a European Commission (DG TREN) initiative which will contribute to achieve the European Union’s energy policy targets within the fields of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, clean transport and alternative fuels.
Energie-Cités, as an EU body, has been an Associated Partner since the beginning, on the proposal of DG TREN.
There are two levels of partnership, “Campaign Associate” and “Campaign partner” and each of you can become a partner to the Campaign!
Energie-Cités invites all its members to become a Campaign partner!
What will be the benefits for your municipality?
* The Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign is an excellent opportunity for promoting your municipality and/or agency on an international level. Being accepted as a partner is also a recognition of the quality and value of your actions.
* Joining the Campaign will give you the right to use the well-known European label, free of charge, including on your documents, Websites and communication tools.
* As a Campaign Partner, you are eligible to participate in the 1st Award competition. The Award competition has now been opened, and the awards will be presented during a high-profile public event on 1st February 2007. The deadlinefor entering the competition has been set for 3rd November 2006. The winning projects will be promoted to the press and showcased as examples of excellence.
What will be the benefits for Energie-Cités?
Energie-Cités intends to participate in the competition held to reward the most active Campaign associate. This is why a maximum of member cities must join the Campaign.
Energie-Cités is organising a “Help desk” to help you submit your proposals. Please fill in and return the attached form before 6th October 2006.
