A perfect synergy between two European initiatives!

European Mobility Week and the Engage campaign in Ivanic-Grad has resulted in positive reactions from the ENGAGEd citizens.

European Mobility Week 2011 in Ivanic-Grad - full of activities and events

European Mobility Week activities of races, skating, exhibitions as well as multiple sports and educational activities were held this weekend in the main square in Ivanic-Grad. The ENGAGE team in Ivanic-Grad took advantage of the sunny weather and great attendance to promote the ENGAGE campaign named in Ivanic-Grad “Think Green for a Better Tomorrow“.

There is now less than a month until the ENGAGE day in Ivanic-Grad and that is why ENGAGEd citizens were reminded to join in the big annual celebration. Thanks to European Mobility Week, Ivanic-Grad is now richer by three new ENGAGEd associations. Among them is the Association of Friends of Nature in Ivanic-Grad.

ENGAGE posters used to promote Ivanic’s local campaign “Think Green for a better tomorrow”

Citizens who traditionally participate in activities during the European Mobility Week were happy to join the Engage campaign, make posters and measure how their change in behaviour could reduce CO2 emissions. By doing this they are able to contribute to Ivanic-Grad’s “Think Green for a Better Tomorrow” campaign and achieve their Covenant of Mayors objectives.
Ivanic-Grad has been a member of Energy Cities since 2008.
