European Energy Efficiency Fund (eeef) - 9 January 2013
The European Energy Efficiency Fund (EEEF) aims to support the goals of the European Union to promote a sustainable energy market and climate protection. EEEF contributes with a layered risk/return structure to enhance energy efficiency and foster renewable energy in the form of a targeted private public partnership, primarily through the provision of dedicated financing via direct finance and partnering with financial institutions. The Fund observes the principles of sustainability and viability, combining environmental considerations and market orientation. By achieving the first two objectives, EEEF aims to attract additional private and public capital into climate financing.

European Citizen´s Initiative "30kmh – making streets liveable!" - 14 December 2012
30 km/h (20 mph) limits are an inexpensive and popular way to improve safety, cut pollution and encourage smarter travel choices. They lead to improved traffic flow and less congestion. People can move without fear. We want to achieve these benefits for the whole of the European Union. What is our vision? 30 km/h shall become the standard speed limits for villages, towns and cities with local authorities being able to decide on exemptions.
