Organized by the European Cyclists Federation (ECF) and Nantes Métropole
Situated at the crossroads of Eurovelo bike routes 6 and 1, two major cyclo-tourism routes, Nantes will seek to meet four key objectives as it hosts the next Velo-city event from 2 to 5 June 2015:
- Create a replicable model dedicated to regional cities
- Build on the strengths and weaknesses of the Nantes experience and other French cities
- Reach out to the world
- Create a future inspired by cycling

2nd European CITIES Forum

Urban dimension of EU policies and next steps towards an EU urban agenda

Urban stakeholders at local, national and European level will have an opportunity to have a political and practical discussion on how to advance the EU urban agenda. A la rencontre des porteurs de projets de quartiers durables de Rhône-Alpes, Suisse et Franche-Comté

Cet atelier s’adresse aux élus et chargés de mission des collectivités de Franche-Comté ainsi qu’aux acteurs de l’urbanisme de la région et s’inscrit dans la continuité de l’atelier organisé en novembre 2014 à Morteau.
Il rassemble des porteurs de projets de quartiers durables de Rhône-Alpes (La Rivière, Cran Gevrier), Suisse (Neuchâtel) et Franche-Comté (Besançon, Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération, Morteau) qui montrent le chemin à suivre pour faire du projet autrement, améliorer le quotidien, dynamiser le territoire et préserver les ressources.

Le programme de cet atelier a été élaboré par Energy Cities, la Région Franche-Comté, l’ADEME Franche-Comté, la Ville de Morteau, l’Agence d’urbanisme de l’agglomération de Besançon, la Direction régionale de l’environnement, de l’aménagement et du logement de Franche-Comté, la Direction départementale des territoires du Doubs, avec le soutien du programme européen Interreg France-Suisse.

European Climate Diplomacy Day

In preparation of COP21, the Institut Francais will host a European Climate Diplomacy Day in Amsterdam. A public debate will be organized in the afternoon and will be followed by the screening of the documentary Greenland, a journey under the ice (Vincent Amouroux,2014, FR).

Climate Diplomacy Day seeks to highlight the positive action that is being taken around the globe in collaboration with the EU and its Member States, and to encourage informed debate and a joint response to the climate challenge.

Energy Label 2015: A new look for market transformation and consumer empowerment

The workshop will explore recent scenarios for an ambitious reform focusing on how the label can be made to work harder for the main stakeholders - consumers, manufacturers, retailers, market surveillance bodies, awareness raising organisations and institutions. These are the main target audience of the workshop, as well as decision makers, local authorities that can promote the instrument through public procurement and fiscal and financial incentives.

Il vous permettra aussi d’échanger avec les villes allemandes sur les évolutions récentes des PCET. Enfin, en termes opérationnels, il s’agira de faire émerger les possibilités de coopération franco-allemandes qui pourraient se mettre en place sur ces approches territoriales Energie-Climat.
