LOW CARBON TREND-SETTERS IN 2020 - International Workshop for Covenant of Mayors Coordinators and Supporters
The workshop will focus on the crucial role played by local governments in moving towards a low-carbon economy and smart city infrastructure. The aim is to support and empower Coordinators and Supporters (C&S) of the Covenant of Mayors. This will be achieved through experience exchange among the C&S attending and municipalities on how to facilitate communities on their path towards sustainable energy development. Plan Climat Energie Territoriaux - 2ème colloque national
En 2012, plus de 450 collectivités sont mobilisées pour réaliser leur PCET, certaines commencent, la plupart s’organisent, concertent les différents acteurs et travaillent leurs plans d’actions. Comment traiter de l’adaptation au changement climatique dans un PCET ? Quelles sont les solutions pour évaluer les actions d’un PCET et vérifier que les objectifs assignés sont atteints ? Quels sont les montages financiers pour mettre en oeuvre le plan d’actions ? Comment mobiliser les acteurs économiques ou le grand public dans la durée ? Vous apporter des réponses techniques et opérationnelles à ces questions sera l’objectif du 2ème colloque national sur les PCET organisé par l’ADEME et ses partenaires les 9 et 10 octobre 2012 à Nantes (44). How can EU cohesion policy funds support the actions of Covenant of Mayors signatories ? (OPEN DAYS)
Is your municipality or region looking for funding and/or best practices to implement its Sustainable Energy Action Plan ? Then you should certainly attend the Covenant of Mayors event to be held during the Open Days of the Committee of the Regions, on 10 October 2012. The session will focus on the importance of EU funding and innovative financing schemes to ensure the success and consolidation of the Covenant of Mayors initiative. Community-led territorial energy roadmaps : Towards a Covenant of Mayors 2050 ? (OPEN DAYS 2012)
This workshop by Energy Cities will focus on community-led local development dedicated to sustainable energy issues, with a specific focus on foresight experiences. How can stakeholders and communities collaborate with local authorities in order to develop joint long-term energy roadmaps leading to a transition towards a sustainable energy future ? Representatives of local authorities involved in projects aiming at stakeholders involvement based on multi-actors governance will present their experiences. They will have the opportunity to discuss the role of the EU in supporting these processes with representatives of European institutions and stakeholders interested in local energy transition and the concept of low-energy cities.
